Beverley & Richard staying in the Forager from 1st-3rd June 2019
Fab-u-lous … place. We had an amazing time here with our friends and celebrating our 39th anniversary.
The surroundings are tranquil and we have recharged our batteries from a hectic and stress life.
We will be back again and look forward to seeing our new duck friends and Lola.
Thank you and hope to see you soon.
Gen & Mickey staying in the Forager from 28th-30th May 2019
Wow! What a wonderful few days off the grid and feeling completely relaxed.
This was our first “Glamping” experience and it is safe to say we will 100% be back next year and have already recommended it to our friends and family.
The hut is lovely and cosy. The animals (especially Lola the dog) are of friendly and the hosts are superb!
Would highly recommend “The Acorn Inn” in Evershot – one of the nicest lunches we have had in a long time.
We will defy be back in 2020!
Soraya & Nick staying in the Forager from 17th-19th May 2019
Wow! We have had the most relaxing weekend away. The views have been to die for and we have loved the regular visits from the ducks!! We could not have wished for anything more from a weekend away. We are already planning our return.
What a beautiful spot, one of Dorset’s bests.
Claire & Rory staying in the Forager from 20th-22nd April 2019
We have had an amazing hot Easter (child-free) weekend!!
Bonfires, fantastic sleeps, the views were all wonderful.
We went to Charmouth and found some fossils but it was nice to return to our tranquil hut, away from the hoards on the beaches! My third trip here and looking forward to may more.
Sandra & Rick staying in the Artisan from 13th-15th August 2018
What can I say – a truly magical mini-break. This place exceeded all expectations. The hut so cute, the stars so bright and the hot tub is just perfect!
Loved saying hello to the ducks and listening to the fire crackle as we cooked tea.
You really have created a slice of heaven here and we will most certainly be back to experience total relaxation again.
Thank you for a wonderful stay and your warm welcome.
Lucy & Mike staying in the Forager from 6thth-8th June 2018
An absolutely idyllic break for us both. We adored everything about the hut. So cosy and tranquil and all the extra touches were much appreciated.
We loved coking breakfast and supper on the fire pit and wonderful to relax in the hot tub gazing at the stars.
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful space, a little slice of Utopia.
We would love the return when we can next Granny to look after the children!
Sue & Brian staying in the Forager from 21st-23rd May 2018
This was a special break celebrating our Ruby wedding anniversary and Sue’s birthday. It also gave Sue the opportunity to visit some childhood haunts in West Bay.
Tracy and James made us feel very welcome and helped us initially with lighting fires for the hot tub and the fire pit, after which we rapidly became experts!
The ambience of the Forager is fantastic and even inside the hut you feel part of the outside world. The peace and tranquility are very restorative and the views are breathtaking, particularly when sitting in a warm hot tub.
All in all a wonderful experience and one we would definitely undertake again.
Gemma & Sam staying in the Forager from 11th-13th May 2018
Best glamping site we’ve ever been too. Great location and so well equipped.
Loved the ducks roaming around and the hot tub was a real treat.
Thank you Tracy and james for making us feel welcome. An extra thank you to James who got the hot tub going for us for when we returned from our day out.
Just lovely. Will be recommending.

We have had a lovely relaxing stay at your welcoming farm and our shepherd’s hut was beautifully equipped and extremely comfortable. The hot tub really does make a great experience, especially at night!
We visited West Bay to spot some sights from Broadchurch and enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Watch House cafe right on the beach (highly recommended).
Thank you Tracy for your welcoming service. We will be recommending Dorset Forest Glamping to our friends!
Helen & Ben staying in the Forager from 8th-10th Apr 2018
We have had an amazing time!
The space you have created here is magical and even the pouring rain didn’t make a difference to our visit. It has been the the perfect place to escape city life and rejuvenate!
Highlights were the hot tub on a misty night, making and cooking with our own fire (the mere satisfaction of keeping it going) and exploring all that Dorset has to offer. Finally keeping the ducks at bay whilst enjoying tea and biscuit!
Thank you for being so welcoming and helping us get started, we will be Telling everyone to come.
Adam & Evelyn staying in the Artisan from 6th-8th Apr 2018
We had a wonderful relaxing stay in your lovely shepherd’s hut. The area is beautiful and very peaceful. We explored the area and visited the ancient hill forts in the surrounding towns and villages. The hut itself was extremely comfortable and the log burner makes for a fantastic and cosy stay. Highly recommended.

Amazing way to start the New Year. We have had an incredible time and are very grateful for your hospitality James – nothing ever was too much trouble for you. We have loved the facilities (the hot tub, the BBQ shed). The hut itself is a romantic place and really helps you forget about the business of life.

An amazing place!! We never imagined we could be so relaxed – 2nd day we slept almost all day thanks to the wonderful location and cosiness of the place.
Everything for a wonderful stay was at hand – with great details like chocolate dips which made The Best Coffee Mocha Ever!!!
The weather was great – we will never forget the moon!!
The ducks are our good friends now, we have bonded (“the girls are here” we say every morning)
Cooking under the stars, in total comfort, Beaminster lovely and the beach at Seatown unforgettable! Sea was like a lake, and amazing sunset. Tracy and James many thanks we will be back x

Our nights were cosy around the fire, enjoyed cooking sausages on the fire bowl washed down by a couple of glasses of red.
Spent our second night relaxing in the hot tub.
We have had the most peaceful nights sleep, being woken by the ducks!
Lovely charming little hut.

We had a lovely few days away.
The hut was mazing, it had everything we could possibly need. Especially loved the little lights that come on once it got dark.
Tracy and James were lovely-thank you for teaching us to light a fire (we failed epically on our first night). Loved sitting by the fire and playing cards!
The animals were so funny and made us laugh numerous times. Particularly the chicken who ran at us to stop us taking a picture of the little ducklings.
Natalie & barry staying in the Artisan from 16th-18th June 2017
What a lovely place to get away from it all!
Such a great hut, everything about it was brilliant.
Lovely walking from the farm – walked to Stoke Abbot & had lunch at the New Inn – very nice!

A cosy and peaceful getaway. The hut is lovely – very atmospheric in the evening. The hot tub took a while to heat the first night but was boiling last night! Lots of stars to gaze at and a couple of shooting stars, lots of friendly animals (loved to ducks!) We enjoyed the campfire cooking and the BBQ hut was very convenient. Altogether a wonderful place to unwind and we hope to visit again one day.
ps. I heard the skylarks this morning!

Great days out to the beaches and farms, but lovely just pottering by the hut.
Many thanks for having us i hope we can return soon.

The location and hut were both fantastic. The Forager is lovely inside, decorated very tastefully. Having the cats and dog around was great and the ducks caused hours of hilarity!
Being outside for cooking and stargazing was a great experience and only enhanced the feeling of peace and relaxation.
Many thanks for your welcome and allowing us to share in your vision.

The perfect spot to spend our bank holiday weekend as a base to explore the area by bike and car.
Cooking outside under the stars (we don’t remember seeing such beautiful night skies in the UK before) Was magic and waking up to stunning views in the morning.
Forager hut has had everything we needed and was a cosy dry retreat when the usual bank holiday weather kicked in.
Had a delicious meal at the Acorn at Evershot.
We look forward to visiting again soon.

Lighting the campfire and cooking in the evening sun then under the stars was amazing!
The location is perfect for exploring this amazing part of the world. We went fossil hunting in Charmouth (didn’t find any!) Cycled from Dorchester to Weymouth and back then to Maiden Castle. Beaminster is a hidden gem and the Red lion is a must. The views along the cliff tops along the coast are breathtaking.
Many thanks again to our hosts, will difinitly be back again soon.

What a weekend it’s been!
Our hosts were lovely and welcoming, ensuring we had a great stay.
The views from our hut were truly spectacular. Waking up to the rolling hills and beautiful countryside was worth the trip alone; and on our last night the moon and stars were as bright as I had ever seen.
After spending our days travelling from one great place to the next – Beaminster, Seaton, Lyme Regis, Burton Breadstick, Corscombe – walking, eating (and drinking) we have decided to return soon to see what other delights Dorset has to offer.

Had a fabulous, relaxed meal at the Red lion in Beaminster and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere at the Seafood Festival in Weymouth, The hut is just perfect – everything we needed and lots of little homely touches that made it extra special – thank you. Can’t believe how warm the little stove makes the hut – hope we’ll be back, maybe for an autumn break next time.

We booked this trip away for our 5 year anniversary. The hut is absolutely stunning and had everything we needed and more. It was so nice to escape our daily lives and be surrounded by nature.
We received a warm welcome and a little tour of the hut, and settled in with a hot cup of tea from the camp kettle. It was so cosy inside with the log burner, and the bed was so comfortable!
We can’t wait to book again, it exceeded our expectations and they were already high after seeing the photos!

Despite the changeable British Summer weather we spent a blissful three days in the rustic Artisan Shepherd’s Hut reconnecting with nature, exploring the beautiful county of Dorset and re-discovering the simple pleasures in life!
We enjoyed our hut very much, it was cosy and quaint and we appreciated all the thoughtful details and finishes our hosts fitted it out with. We were able to cook three sumptuous gourmet suppers on the open fire and discovered a useful bellow in the tray!
And of course, the hot shower in the morning always helps!
Laura & Paul staying in the Artisan 10th – 12th June 2016
We booked this charming shepherd’s hut as a last minute get away for the weekend, and so happy we did as it’s been so lovely and calm.
Open fires for cooking and the cosy hut to sleep in, just what we needed for a chilled weekend.
Abotsbury gardens are worth a visit, and the beach at West Bay is beautiful.
We also made friends with one of the farm cats, who’s very sweet. 🙂

This is an amazing hut, quiet, peaceful and beautiful surroundings.
The log burner kept us very warm and we created outside fires too – which also gave us a very nice breakfast.
Our stay was very homely and is something we would definatley do again and we will spread the word.
Help was available whenever we needed it and the owners were very friendly and welcoming.
Thank you very much.
