Bring Your Horse is Glamping in Dorset

What we supply for your horse

You are in charge with your horse – do you want to graze or stable during your riding holiday here in Dorset?  Both are available – your horse is £30 per horse for the duration of your stay .

The stables have rubber matting, hay racks, with buckets available for water and food.  We leave it empty ready for your arrival.  If you need bedding or hay, these can be purchased on the farm.

If your horse prefers to be in a field, the paddock has electric wire over stock netting.

We simply ask you to skip out at the end of your visit.

West Dorset on Horse Back

Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty high up on Beaminster Downs the scenery is stunning.  As any rider knows the scenery gets even better from aboard your horse!  Within a mile of the farm (all cross country) you get vistas across to the Jurassic Coast; all the way from Abbotsbury to Lyme Regis and beyond.

The network of bridleways extend in every direction from the farm – across fields, down lanes and through woodlands.

You could stay a week and never repeat a route!

Here is an example of one of the rides you could enjoy solo or with a friend.

Need a Field Companion?

This is Dancer – our 11h Welsh pony.  He can graze with another horse and will be happy to be left in a field when your horse goes out for a ride.  As long as your horse is kind to him he is happy to share.

Recovering from a long day on horse back

On your return there is the option to enjoy a hot tub to soothe your muscles and enjoy the stars visible because of the wonderful dark night skies at the peaceful rural getaway.

Dorset Forest Garden glamping is just a few short miles from several award winning pubs and restaurants so if you enjoy your food there is something to suit every taste.

If you wish to book your horses in, you can add them in the booking form. We can accept a maximum of 2 per week.
